Why have a professional web designer design your website?

Your website is often the first impression potential clients have of your business. A professional web designer ensures that this impression is a strong one.

I design websites that look beautiful, are easy to navigate, and clearly communicate my client's services. I also focus on creating websites that reflects my client's brand, engages their audience, and are optimised for search engines, helping to attract more visitors and turn them into clients.

Why build your website on WordPress?

I use WordPress for all of my website development work.
WordPress is the most widely used website platform in the world, powering over 40% of all websites. Its popularity means it’s well-supported, flexible, and can grow with your business.

Some of the key benefits include:

  • Room to Grow: As your business expands, WordPress can scale with you, accommodating more pages, features, and traffic without needing a complete rebuild.
  • Complete Design Flexibility: WordPress gives you freedom to create a unique, professional design. If your current setup limits what you can do, whether due to pricing, restrictions of a page builder, or layout constraints, WordPress allows you to use different tools or add-ons to achieve the functionality and look you need.
  • Freedom from One Provider: Unlike closed platforms, you’re not tied to a single provider. You can change hosting, swap page builders, or add features without starting from scratch.
  • SEO Success: WordPress makes it easy to structure your site, offering complete flexibility to organise content and create clear navigation. Combined with a developers’ thoughtful use of keywords, headings, and internal links, your site can be built to rank at the top of search engine results.

Choosing WordPress gives you a website that’s adaptable and professional. It’s built to grow with your business while giving you full control to make changes or switch tools if your needs evolve.

Am I the right web designer to help your business grow its online presence?

Here at HerPresence, I specialise in creating websites for small, service-based businesses, and particularly those founded or led by women.

As a female web designer running my own small business, I take the time to really get to know you and your goals. That means understanding who your clients are, what they’re looking for, and how your website can connect with them. I’m passionate about helping women-led businesses thrive, opening up new income streams by attracting clients who find them online.

I have a love for creativity, beauty, and design, and I bring an eye for detail along with a passion for crafting unique, tailored websites. I often create custom graphics to perfectly represent my clients’ brands, giving their sites a truly one-of-a-kind feel.

From bridal boutiques and beauty salons to event caterers and dog groomers, every project is personal to me. My priority is making sure your website doesn’t just look beautiful, but also works hard to grow your business and open up new opportunities.

How will your business benefit from a new website?

Professionally built WordPress website vs Squarespace or Wix websites

As a service-based business, your website’s ultimate goal is to bring new clients or customers to your door. A professionally designed website helps you achieve this in several ways:

  • Visibility: Your site will be built with SEO best practices in mind, giving it the best chance of being seen by more people online.
  • First impressions: An attractive, well-designed site encourages visitors to stay, scroll, and learn more about your business.
  • Trust and clarity: Clear, well-structured content provides the right amount of information to build trust and show potential clients how your services meet their needs.
  • Ease of use: Intuitive layouts and simple navigation make it easy for visitors to read, browse, and take the next step—whether that’s contacting you, booking a service, or finding your store.

A new website isn’t just about looks—it’s about creating a tool that actively supports your business growth.

For some businesses, platforms like Squarespace or Wix can be a good starting point. If you have the time to design your own site, write copy, source images, learn what works for SEO, and keep everything updated as your business grows, then a DIY approach may suit you. These platforms are straightforward to use and can work well if someone in your business is comfortable taking full responsibility for the website.

However, hiring a professional web designer can save you significant time and help your website achieve more. A WordPress site designed by a specialist web developer offers greater flexibility and room to grow, with the added benefit of expert knowledge in design, usability, and SEO. That means your website won’t just look good, it will also work harder to attract visitors and convert them into clients.

In the long run, a professionally built site can reduce the trial and error, avoid common pitfalls, and give you confidence that your website is supporting your business as effectively as possible.

Do I offer logo design and full branding design?

I do not currently offer logo or full branding design. If you require professionally designed branding, you’ll achieve the best results by securing this beforehand. However, I can assist in preparing visual elements such as colour schemes, fonts, and imagery to complement your existing branding.

    My Promise to my Clients

From time to time, a project may require something I haven’t done before. I love expanding my skill set and learning new things, so if that happens, any time I spend learning will be on me and not on your bill.

I will always strive to bring my clients’ visions to life, but if something isn’t possible, I’ll be upfront about it. If your project requires a developer with a different skill set, I’ll let you know before we begin so you can make the best decision for your business.
