Overall, my design style can be described as clean and elegant, which I achieve by using carefully structured layouts and lots of blank space. These contribute towards making pages visually appealing and easy to read, which is vital when you want your website to convert websites viewers to enquiring leads.

Images are an important aspect of any website as they contribute towards a more aesthetically pleasing page, breaking up paragraphs of text into smaller and more inviting sections of text. They are used to demonstrate products and services and help establish a visual identify for the website and the business.

As many of my clients are service-based businesses, it can be difficult for them to provide authentic images that are unique to their business and show who they are and what they do. So to solve this, I design and draw custom-made graphics. These range from simple line drawings that are used as icons (such as the pink icons you see throughout this site) to entire block-colour drawings that make up the 'hero' image at the top of a homepage.

The project involved creating a website for a small, independent bakery specialising in baked centrepieces for weddings and other special occasions. The website needed to showcase the bakers’ skill while capturing their playful energy and passion for bringing people together through food and celebration. I wanted to reflect the creativity of their bakes through bold blocks of colour and playful visuals, while ensuring the website appealed to the right audience and made it easy for visitors to find out what they offer, where they’re based and how to place an order.

A one-page WordPress website featuring:
